Coral Springs Holiday Parade Application

Application Submission Deadline: September 15th, 2025

Applicants will be informed of their acceptance status by October 15, 2025, along with payment details.

All participants in the parade are considered sponsors and will go through an eligibility review. Notifications will be sent after approval, and payment of fees will only be required only after approval notification.

1. Participation Rules*

No person(s) may ride on a float enroute to staging.Motorized vehicles such as go-peds, scooters, and e-bikes are not permitted, unless expressly approved as part of the original application.Please remember that the Event is NOT A PLATFORM FOR POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR SOCIAL ISSUES, and no unit will be permitted to participate in the Parade if, in the judgment of City of Coral Springs staff, it reflects such issues.

Safety and Conduct*

Weapons or depictions of violence are strictly prohibited.No sirens, bullhorns, fireworks, bubbles, silly string, balloons, or poppers are permitted. The only exception to sirens is for Coral Springs Police and Fire Department.Smoking, vaping, and the consumption of alcoholic beverages during staging or in the parade are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal of the event.Stationary demonstrations, routines, or performances are not permitted along the parade route, as it disrupts the flow of the parade. A 30 second performance is allowed only in the designated performance area(s) and must be pre-approved during the application process.

Distribution of Items*

THE TOSSING OR DISTRIBUTION OF ANY ITEMS, INCLUDING CANDY, MARKETING MATERIALS, TOYS, AND NECKLACES, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Only the City of Coral Springs or designee may distribute items by hand.

Appearance & Design*

Be festive! Parade entries, including floats and walking groups, are encouraged to incorporate ample lighting for better visibility and safety.Entries must be designed to be viewed from all sides.Float size must not exceed 13.5 feet in height or 9 feet in width.Any vehicle, whether towing a float, or boat, or serving as a standalone entry, must be fully decorated.

Santa Claus Appearance*

To keep the magic alive, Santa Claus will make his grand appearance in the final parade unit. For this reason, no parade participants or floats may have a live Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus character.

Walking Groups (“Human Floats”)*

Walking groups must be dressed to align with the parade theme.Elementary-aged children must hold a control item (e.g., rope, PVC pipe, garland).Walking groups with children must have adequate adult supervision with a recommended ratio of at least one adult for every 5-10 children to ensure safety and control during the parade.Entries that include both a vehicle and a walking group must have an adult spotter assigned to each tire and the walking group must stay at least 6 feet behind the vehicle for safety.

Live Animals*

Live animals are not allowed without prior written approval from parade organizers.If my entry includes live animals, I will provide someone to follow and clean up after them.

Acceptance and Compliance*

I understand participation is not based on order of application submission.I understand application submission does not guarantee parade participation.I acknowledge Coral Springs schools, residents, and businesses will be given priority for participation.I understand final acceptance is at the discretion of the Holiday Parade Committee.I understand entries may be denied participation on parade day if found noncompliant with any parade rules or if the entry differs from the original parade application.I understand and agree that the City of Coral Springs reserves the right to remove any unit from the line of march for any reason or cause without advance notice.
